Urban common is pick of 3 in 3 hours

As urban as catch shots come!

Brad Nott needed just three hours to bag a trio of carp from an inner-city park lake.

This 23lb 10oz common, held in front of a superb urban backdrop, was the pick of the bunch for the Nottingham angler.

The 23-year-old window fitter also managed a 16lb common and a 17lb 8oz mirror.

He said: “I fished at 35yds and used building-light relections on the water as a marker.”

Brad baited with Sticky Krill boilies during his short session and, in true urban-carping style, used 6ft Nash Sawn Off rods.

He presented a PVA bag of crushed boilies and used a blowback rig made with 20lb Fox Camotex Semi Stiff.

The fish was caught on Christmas Eve but has only just found its way to our inbox, and we like the pic so much.
